ENREM Double Degree (Master's program) – Scholarships

The Mexican National Council for Humanities, Science and Technology (CONAHCYT) and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) offer a limited number of full scholarships for the ENREM Master's program to highly qualified applicants.

The CONAHCYT Scholarship covers living expenses according to the regular monthly amount of the Mexican national scholarship. All registration fees must be paid by the students from the scholarship.

All other costs associated with the program, such as the monthly difference to cover living expenses in Germany, the flight to San Luis Potosi, to Cologne, for the Master's thesis and defense, as well as health insurance for the second year, are not included.

Living costs for non-german scholarship holders

The regular monthly scholarship (beca nacional) includes Mexican public health insurance for the entire period of study (maximum 24 months).

Additional information about the program and the value of the scholarship

To apply for a CONAHCYT scholarship, candidates should fulfil the following requirements in addition to the general eligibility criteria for the master’s program:

  • Have a minimum grade of 8.0 based on the Mexican grading system or equivalent (where 10.0 is the highest grade and 6.0 is the minimum passing grade) at the end of their studies.
  • Be accepted and enrolled in a Master's programme registered in the SNP platform.
  • Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree (usually a four-year curriculum) in a relevant subject.

Only candidates who have been nominated for a CONAHCYT scholarship and who have accepted a place on the ENREM Double Degree Master's Program can make an official application for a CONAHCYT scholarship after enrolling for the first semester at the UASLP.

The DAAD-EPOS program funds several scholarships for students from developing countries according to the DAC list who wish to study development-related subjects. For more information on the overall program and the value of the scholarship, please click here.

DAAD covers living expenses, travel allowance and health insurance for the 2 years. All registration fees must be paid by the students from the scholarship.

To apply for a DAAD-EPOS scholarship, applicants should meet the following requirements in addition to the general eligibility criteria for the master's program:

  • DAAD Scholarship only for international professionals of DAC-List countries (List of eligible countries)
  • Applicants must have received their last academic degree no more than 6 years ago at the time of application.
  • Candidates usually have a bachelor's degree (usually a four-year curriculum) in an appropriate subject.
  • At least 2 years of relevant work experience after the bachelor's degree, to be verified
  • Proof of current employment at the time of application
  • A letter of motivation detailing the academic, professional and personal reasons for applying to the program. If you are applying for more than one postgraduate course (maximum of 3 courses), please also include in your letter of motivation a detailed explanation of your choice of courses and priorities. Please address how your motivation relates to the objectives of the EPOS program.

It is necessary to submit a copy of the required original documents and a copy of a translation by a certified translator if the original is not in English or German.

Only applicants who have been nominated for a DAAD scholarship and who have accepted a place on the ENREM master's program can officially apply for the EPOS scholarship before arriving in San Luis Potosí.
