Counseling services
The Equal Opportunities Officer is on hand to advise and support female staff and students at TH Köln. The Officer can advise on general matters concerning equality, workplace difficulties, or study problems, as well as on cases of (sexualized) discrimination or violence and other issues.
A face-to-face meeting can be arranged at any time with the Equal Opportunities Office administrator or directly with the Equal Opportunities Officer (see left-hand column).

Complaints
The German General Equal Treatment Act (Allgemeines Gleichbehandlungsgesetz – AGG) aims to prevent or stop discrimination on the grounds of protected characteristics, including gender (Section 1 AGG). Under Section 13 AGG, employees and people aiming to gain employment through a recruitment process have the right to lodge a complaint with the complaints department of TH if they have experienced discrimination as defined in the AGG within TH Köln.
Under the Regulation on dealing with sexualized discrimination and violence for Technische Hochschule Köln (Ordnung zum Umgang mit sexualisierter Diskriminierung und Gewalt an der TH Köln), other members of the university can also lodge a complaint if they have been affected by sexualized discrimination and violence in accordance with Section 3 of the Regulation on dealing with sexualized discrimination and violence for Technische Hochschule Köln.
