You will analyze typical job advertisements in order to not only understand the most important information, but also to ‚read between the lines‘ and grasp the fine details of what is required of applicants. By writing your own sample advertisements, which will later be used as a basis for your individual application, you will acquire structures and vocabulary to create effective application documents which will convince German recruiters of your aptitude and your competences.
During the e-learning stage you will write a tailormade cover letter / letter of motivation and create your individual CV. Your instructor’s sustained feedback will help you to improve your documents and to develop your own strategies in reviewing your texts. The workshop Job Application in English, Part 2: Preparing for a job interview will address the steps following the submission of your application documents.
