Further information
In this workshop you will take a close look at the later stages of recruitment processes in German companies and organizations, namely assessment centers and specifically job interviews. You will consider the special set of competences required of applicants in different contexts. By acting in the role of the recruiter as well as the applicant, you will develop a deeper understanding of the different perspectives involved and learn to anticipate typical questions applicants will have to answer in job interviews. Through preparing and simulating job interviews, you will be able to apply the structures and vocabulary relevant to giving a positive impression and presenting yourself as an attractive candidate in the interview.
During the e-learning stage prior to the workshop you will reflect on the competences required for different jobs and create lists of pertinent interview questions and the answers you would applicants expect to give. In the e-learning stage completing the workshop you will work on follow-up mails and letters of acceptance, again taking the role of the candidate and the recruiter in turn.
