Thuyloi University (TLU)
The public Thuyloi University in Hanoi is recognized as a leading technical university in the field of water resources. It was founded in 1959 and is mainly responsible for education and research in the field of water resources and hydropower.

The university is subordinate to the Ministry of Water Resources (then) and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (now).
Today, TLU is also a leader in training highly qualified professionals in the fields of civil engineering, water supply and sewerage, information technology, information systems, software engineering, natural resources, environment, disaster management, economics and climate change.
TLU currently offers 27 bachelor's, 20 master's and eleven doctoral degree programs, with a total enrollment of around 20,000 students.
The university currently has four campuses. The main campus is located in Hanoi and includes lecture halls, laboratories, dormitories and sports facilities. The second campus is located in Ho Chi Minh City; there is also a branch of TLU in the provinces of Ninh Thuan and Hung Yen. The university has a total of 1,142 employees, including 568 lecturers (mostly doctoral students).
