TH Köln expressly supports the conclusion of an agreement between doctoral candidates and supervisors. The supervision agreement drawn up by TH Köln regulates the rights and obligations between doctoral candidates and supervisors. Of course, you can adapt and add to the model to suit your own needs. The conclusion of the supervision agreement is a prerequisite for participation in the funding programs of Graduate Center of TH Köln.

Good Scientific Practice

Good scientific practice requires strict care in the acquisition and selection of data, the clear and comprehensible documentation of all important results as well as openness to criticism and doubts about one's own results. The regulations issued by TH Köln in 2019 provide a framework for safeguarding good academic practice and for dealing with academic misconduct at TH Köln.

All those involved in teaching and research at TH Köln, including doctoral researchers, are obliged to adhere to the rules in their academic work. It is therefore up to the supervisors to familiarize their doctoral researchers with these rules at the beginning of their academic work.

Supervisors of TH Köln

There is a networking meeting for doctoral supervisors once a year, where a variety of interesting content is dealt with, which one may come into contact with in the course of the supervision of a doctoral project. In addition, everyone will have the opportunity to exchange ideas with other supervisors and to talk to them.
