Circular Transformation Lab
Five faculties at TH Köln are involved in the interdisciplinary “Circular Transformation Lab” research cluster, founded in 2022.
Our vision is to accelerate the social transformation towards a sustainable, circular way of life and production. As an interdisciplinary teaching and research community, we are offenders by conviction, trying to shape the public discourse. By pooling knowledge about technical, ecological, social and economic interrelations and the associated R&D activities, we will exert impact in order to enrich the scientific community, influence guidelines and inform society at large.

As a country, we only have two raw materials. One is that in people's heads, i.e. their knowledge and intelligence. The other is the one in the waste.
However, the focus will be on developing sustainable solutions to the challenges posed by the transformation described above: with the help of a cross-disciplinary and cross-sector, national and international network in industry and research, we will ensure that knowledge is made effective for society.
TH Köln is a natural and competent partner for circular value creation issues, taking into account and implementing all aspects of sustainability.
