15 May 2024 - GETEUROPEAN Summer School 2024
On May 6th the participants for the Summer School 2024 arrived at TH Köln from the University of North Florida (UNF), USA, in order to take part in an exciting Summer School program, organizied by Professor Harald Sander in cooperation with Professor Zelal Ates, Ms. Andrea Droste, and Professor Michael Volkmann. The cultural program includes field trips to the House of History in Bonn, the famous Cologne beer brand "Mühlen Kölsch" and PolisMobility (Cologne Trade Fair).

10 April 2024 - GloBuS researcher receives research grant from the Academy of International Business
GloBuS researcher Steffen Wolfer has received a research grant from the renowned Academy of International Business (AIB) within the framework of the "AIB Research Funding Grants Program". The grant is dedicated to further research on the topic of "Innovation and corporate catching-up in China".
The financial support from the AIB is greatly acknowledged.
3 November 2023 - GloBuS researcher receives Best Conference Paper Award from the Academy of International Business
The GloBuS Institute is proud to announce that Steffen Wolfer, Research Associate at GloBuS, has received the Best Conference Paper Award from the prestigious Academy of International Business at the annual Academy of International Business Southeast Chapter Conference taking place in Atlanta, Georgia, USA, 26-29 October 2023, for his paper "A qualitative comparative analysis (QCA) of the evolution of innovation and corporate catching-up in China". Steffen's paper has also been accepted and presented at the annual Academy of International Business Northeast Chapter Conference taking place in Providence, Rhode Island, USA, 21-22 October 2023, and the Globelics International Conference 2023 taking place in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, India, 11-14 October 2023. The Globelics conference is a conference of leading scholars working on innovation and competence building in the context of economic development.
Earlier versions of the winning paper have also been presented at the Paper Development Workshop "Qualitative Comparative Analysis (QCA): A Set-Analytic Approach to Studying Configurations" at the 2023 meeting of the Academy of Management taking place in Boston, Massachusetts, USA, 4-8 August 2023, and the QCA Conference of the Americas taking place in Los Angeles, California, USA, 15-17 March 2023.

13 June 2023 - Summer School 2023 on „Global and European Trade and European Business Environment“
From May 8 to June 2, 2023 students from the University of North Florida (UNF) have been studying and discussing jointly the present and potential future of European and US economic relation, facilitated by Professor Harald Sander. Moreover, Professor Zelal Ates and Professor Michael Volkmann have put together an exciting program with the participation of several TH Köln professors to expose UNF students to the European Business environment, while Ms. Andrea Droste has organized a wonderful cultural program.

The GlobalMBA, offered jointly by TH Köln, Germany, Warsaw University, Poland, and University of North Florida, USA, receives a tier-one ranking in the prestigious 2023 GLOBAL MBA RANKINGS provided by the CEO Magazine. Using a ranking system entirely geared and weighted to fact-based
criteria, CEO Magazine aims to cut through the noise and provide potential students with a performance benchmark for those schools under review.

12 July 2022 – New publication on European banking market integration
A new paper by GLOBUS director Harald Sander (jointly written with Stefanie Kleimeier) is just published in the prestigious peer-reviewed journal "Economic Modelling". The study scrutinizes European banking market integration after 20 years with the Euro for 12 Eurozone countries before, during and after the Eurozone crisis from 2003 to 2019, employing a novel combination of state-of-the-art network analyses and estimates of bilateral interest rate linkages. It unveils that the Eurozone crisis has fundamentally and persistently disrupted this network beyond the crisis period.
