ProLAND: Production logistics system using autonomously navigating transport drones
The aim of the project is to develop a logistics system with autonomously navigating transport drones for the use in production logistics.
The background of the research project is the increasing complexity within production, which on the one hand limits the space for production-inherent logistic structures, and on the other hand demands flexible and fast supply of goods with small quantities. The use of previously unused airspace for the supply of goods is a relevant approach to address this issue. For the success of transport drones, in addition to the purely technical aspects of the actual drone system, especially process-related, ergonomic and economic aspects are to be researched.
This is where the externally funded project "ProLAND" takes up the challenge and develops a holistic logistics system together with the project partners, considering the above-mentioned topics.
