Spatial Development and Infrastructure Systems (Bachelor's program)
Let's shape the future! Sustainable. Social. Innovative. Become an expert in holistic spatial planning and the sustainable development of infrastructure systems. With a broad theoretical and technical knowledge and skills in project organisation, cooperation and social transfer processes, you will design future-relevant scenarios for spatial development and associated infrastructures.
Climate crisis, demographic change, transport transition, digitalisation - our society is facing comprehensive transformations and far-reaching structural adjustments. The Bachelor's degree program focuses on these transformations. The goal: graduates with technical, natural and social science expertise who can harmonise the social, economic, legal and ecological demands of society on its (living) space and its structures.

Study objectives
Graduates are characterised by broad theoretical and technical knowledge, but also and above all by comprehensive knowledge of project organisation, teamwork, co-creation, co-design and social transfer processes. As competent social innovators, they help shape spatial development and the associated infrastructures at regional and municipal level. With a sound understanding of systems, they recognise and evaluate effects and potentials across disciplinary boundaries, develop future-relevant scenarios and create spatial sectoral and integral planning concepts.

As informed, responsible global citizens in the sense of "global citizenship", they understand the language and working methods of actors and experts in the development of spaces and technical infrastructures. Using the methods acquired during their studies, they bring interest groups together and, as "change agents", support joint solutions for sustainable spatial and infrastructure development. They use digital information and communication technologies confidently and understand the sensible and appropriate use of data.
