Information for students enrolled in part-time programs for professionals

From the summer semester 2017, students enrolled in part-time programs for professionals (i.e. programs whose schedule allows a full-time employment) are no longer eligible for a public transport pass as well as the Nextbike rental bikes. Exceptions are only possible for students who work less than 20 hours/week. If this applies to you, please complete the "Semester ticket form" (available for download in the infobox) and return it to the Office of Student Services.

These changes are due to the fares conditions of Verkehrsbund Rhein-Sieg (VRS) to which TH Köln's fees system has been adjusted.

This affects all students enrolled in the following programs:

  • Library and Information Science
  • Taxation
  • Insurance Law
  • Web Science
  • Business Information Systems (Bachelor's and Master's program, integrated campus and distance education).

For all students enrolled in one of the programs mentioned above, the semester fee only includes:

  • Administrative fee for Kölner Studierendenwerk and
  • AStA fee
