a) Cancellation of enrollment by October 15 (winter semester) or by April 15 (summer semester):

- your student ID card (MultiCa)
- Refund request form
b) Cancellation of enrollment on or after October 16 (winter semester) or April 16 (summer semester):
After this date, it is only possible to cancel your enrollment if you can provide evidence that only now you were offered admission to another German institution of higher education and that you want to enroll at this institution. In all other cases you can request to be removed from the student register.
Please submit the following documents:
- the cancellation request form
- your student ID card (MultiCa)
- copy of the Letter of Admission from a different German Institution of Higher Education
Please send the cancellation request by mail without delay. Make sure to use the address indicated in your Letter of Admission (top right corner).
Please note:
A refund of the semester fees after October 16 (winter semester)/April 16 (summer semester) is only possible, if you actually enrolled at a different German institution of higher education. In this case, please submit the following documents within three weeks of the cancellation of your enrollment:
- Refund form
- Certificate of enrollment issued by the other institution of higher education
Otherwise you have the option to contact the General Students’ Committee (‘Allgemeiner Studierendenausschuss’ (AStA)) to request a refund of your payment for your public transport pass. Additional information is available on the website of the General Students’ Committee.
