Admission requirements
University degree A university degree (Diplom or Bachelor's degree) in a suitable field (automation, electrical engineering, mechatronics, closely related disciplines) with a final grade of 2.5/"good" (German grading system) or equivalent. If you have not graduated yet, you may still apply for admission if you expect to have graduated by the time the Master's program starts. |

1) Proof of English language proficiency a) TOEFL with a minimum score of 550 points on the paper-based test or 213 points on the computer-based test or 80 points on the internet-based test. b) IELTS with a minimum score of 6.0 or equivalent 2) Motivation to pursue the Master's program Applicants are required to detail their motivation for enrolling in the Master's program in a 2-page motivation letter, written in English. The motivation letter is used to determine an applicant's aptitude for the program. |

Additional information Aptitude for the Master's program is evaluated based on the final grade of the undergraduate degree, the suitability of the undergraduate degree and the motivation letter. |

Information for international applicants If you are an international applicant, please be aware that courses in the program usually start by mid-October. We strongly recommend that you arrive in Germany no later than that time. We also recommend inquiring at your local German embassy or consulate about their visa processing times in advance. The final admission and rejection letters will usually be sent out by late July. |
