This course will be offered online. You will be taking part in live sessions via Zoom as well as bi-weekly e-learning units on ILU. Those live sessions and e-learning units are dovetailed together in terms of content and methodology and are supplemented by tasks for self-study as well as additional self-learning components.

- Live session on Zoom: Tue+Thu, 04:00 - 05:30 (4 course units per week, 52 course units in total)
- E-learning: will be taking place every two weeks on ILU (8 course units in total)

In class a course book will be used that all participants are expected to acquire.

Exam Components
Written exam on-site, culture studies project with complementary presentation, portfolio task, regular and active participation during the live-sessions as well as work on the e-learning-sessions
Written Exam Date
The written exam will take place on-site. The exam usually takes place in the last week of the course. Details will be provided at the start of the course.
Requirements for participation
- You are a student at TH Köln.
- You are prepared to actively engage in all class activities (this also implies turning on the camera during the Zoom sessions).
- Your German language skills are at level A1.1 (taken within the last two semesters) or by submission of a certificate (not older than two years).
- You have the necessary technical equipment to participate in digital classes: PC/laptop with camera and microphone, stable internet connection, valid campusID.
This module is based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
