12th Afternoon for Doctorates
For the twelfth time, the Afternoon for Doctorates offered doctoral researchers at TH Köln on May 3, 2021 an opportunity to get to know each other and to network. As part of the virtual event, in which 16 doctoral researchers took part, the participants exchanged ideas and thoughts with each other and with the university management.
After a greeting by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Klaus Becker, Vice President for Research and Knowledge Transfer, Mirjam Heetkamp from the Graduate Center Service Desk briefly presented the current program of the Graduate Center.
Afterwards, impulses on the topic of “Participation on Scientific Conferences” were discussed. The participants collected tips and ideas, practiced in a “Science Pitch” on the doctoral topic and exchanged their experiences in break-out sessions.
Graduate Center of TH Köln organizes the Afternoon for Doctorates once or twice a year in cooperation with the doctoral representatives of TH Köln. It has been taking place since 2012. The 13th afternoon of the doctoral studies is expected to take place in November 2021 - all doctoral candidates at TH Köln are cordially invited.
