Summer School on Brazilian Studies

Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (UFMG), a partner of TH Köln in Belo Horizonte/Brazil, offers a summer school on Brazilian Studies to give students from all over the world an understanding of key aspects of Brazil from distinct perspectives. UFMG awards one scholarship among applicants from TH Köln. Apply now - Deadline May 14, 2019.

Summer School Scholarship (USD 1.000)

The Summer School takes place at UFMG’s main campus in
Belo Horizonte – the capital city of Brazil’s federal state of
Minas Gerais. All lectures will be given in English. Applicants are expected to be proficient in English.Lectures on selected topics will go from 9:00 am to 12:00
pm, from Monday through Thursday. In the afternoons,
there will be Portuguese for Foreigners classes. On Fridays,
participants will be taken on field trips to places of historical
and artistic relevance.

This course aims at providing students from around the globe with a solid background on Brazil and Brazilian studies, shedding light on crucial aspects of South America’s giant country and the region in itself. Accommodation will be provided by UFMG at the University Housing for all participants. The summer school takes place from July 15 - July 26.
